Arts Sampler

Instructor: Gabrielle Kantor

In the “Arts Sampler” class, students, ages 6-12, explore a variety of art making techniques and materials.  Using drawing, painting, clay, wire, fabric and more, students will enjoy the opportunity experiment, learn and create a new project each week.

Battle for Trenton!!

Instructor:Michael Lewycky

The Battle for Trenton has Begun!   Will you defend the city or destroy it?   Create and depict your own heroes and villians as they fight at actual locations around our Capitol! Pencil, ink, letter and color your own characters as they interact with your classmate’s to determine the fate of Trenton!  Ages 9-12.

Once Upon a Story

Instructor: Caron Sisko

Using a range of artistic styles and elements, children will learn about the world of literary art. This is a class for ages 5-8.   Each week will feature a different children’s picture book. Children will be inspired by storybook characters from authors and illustrators such as Maurice Sendak, Eric Carle, Mo Willems, and Jon Agee. These adventures in imagination will include a variety of media such as watercolor, crayon, pen and mixed media with tissue paper and other textured materials.  The art project for each class will relate to the story. The story will be read aloud and briefly discussed. Children will explore the elements of art such as line, color, texture and shape.  Ages 5-8.
